In the year ended 31st March, 1970, the net receipt of turnover tax was £20,342,700 and of wholesale tax was £20,222,465. In the year ended 31st March, 1971, the approximate net receipt of turnover tax was £41,189,000 and of wholesale tax was £25,024,000.
