It is proposed to close Island national school, County Offaly, in the near future and to transfer the boys to Rahan national school and the girls to Killina Convent. Free transport will be provided for the pupils concerned.
No final decision has been made to close Leamonaghan national school but the feasibility of amalgamating it with Pullock national school is under consideration.
