NOTE: Registration of marriage according to the rites and ceremonies of the Roman Catholic Church is undertaken by the local Registrars of Births, Deaths and Marriages. Marriages according to the rites of other religious persuasions are registered either by the officiating clergyman or the District Registrar of Marriages, depending upon the procedure followed. Marriages by civil process are registered by District Registrars of Marriages.
