Vol. 259 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dental Benefit Scheme.

212.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare, with reference to letters from his Department in reply to complaints of non-availability of services under the Department's Dental Benefit Scheme informing complainants that all dentists who were in the scheme have not withdrawn from it, if he will state why his Department fails to furnish to the complainants the names and addresses of the dentists from whom the Department believes dental services within the scheme may now be obtained.

Persons who complain that dental services are not available are advised that treatment under the dental benefit scheme is still available from a substantial number of dentists who have remained on the dental panel. The names and addresses of these dentists are supplied to any insured person who asks for them and in Dublin, for example, a list is displayed in the Department's public offices.
