The systems under which employment statistics are complied and the definitions involved vary from country to country and it is not possible to quote current comparable unemployment rates for this country and for the different countries of the EEC.
Between 28th January, 1972, and 10th March, 1972, the latest available date, the total live register figure has fallen by some 1,800. This is somewhat more than the seasonal decline in this period in recent years.
