asked the Minister for Health the reasons for the proposed transfer of the alcoholic unit from Saint Dympna's, North Circular Road, Dublin, to Barrymore House.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Alcoholic Unit.
2.
No proposals regarding a transfer have been submitted to me. The matter is one, in the first instance, for the Eastern Health Board of which the Deputy is a member.
Is the Minister aware that this proposal has not been before the board?
No decision has been made on it.
Would he consider using his own good offices in this instance because the transfer would jeopardise the whole programme of rehabilitation of alcoholics?
It is unlikely it would happen.
