I approved preliminary proposals in January last for stages 1 and 2 of the Wicklow water supply scheme comprising the construction of new storage capacity and the extension of the treatment works at Croneroe and the laying of a duplicate main between the intake and the treatment works.
Contract documents for stage 1, which will provide the new storage capacity, are at present under consideration in my Department.
