The average ratio of pupils per teacher in national schools for the school-year 1970-71 was 39 in Waterford city.
Does the Minister intend to take any steps to reduce this ratio? To say the least of it, it is on the high side.
One to 39 is not on the high side for a city like Waterford.
I do not regard it as satisfactory.
