An amount of £13,150 representing 84 prizes remains unclaimed from the Prize Bonds draws held up to March, 1972. In 53 cases amounting to £10,200 the winners cannot be traced. In the remaining 31 cases amounting to £2,950 the Prize Bonds Office has contacted the winners and is endeavouring to conclude payment.
Amounts in respect of unpaid prizes are held in the Prize Bonds Issue of Prizes Account at the Bank of Ireland. Every effort is made to pay outstanding prizes and at no stage is a prizewinner regarded as forfeiting his right to a prize.
