On Sunday, 1st July, 1973, a number of cars arrived in the vicinity of the Military Detention Barracks, Curragh Camp. They were confronted by the Camp stand-to party and did not pass through the security guard. No contact, other than shouted remarks, was made by the occupants of the cars—17 adults and four children—with the prisoners.
