The capital allocation to Galway Corporation for the current financial year in respect of house-purchase and reconstruction loans and supplementary grants is £400,000. The amount advanced to them for these purposes between 1st April and 30th September, 1973, was £30,000. The provisional capital allocation for local authority housing in 1973-74 to Galway Corporation is £700,000. Issues from the Local Loans Fund for local authority housing in the period 1st April, 1973, to 30th September, 1973, amounted to £486,000.
