I have no statutory power to issue a direction on the lines suggested by the Deputy. My Department have in the past however suggested to rating authorities which had not already done so to consider adopting the practice of notifying ratepayers by post of any alterations in the valuation of their holdings immediately after receipt of the revised valuation lists. I now propose to take up the matter again with local authorities.
