Vol. 273 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Handicapped Children Allowances.

6.

asked the Minister for Health the number of mentally retarded children in each county in respect of whom the £25 per month allowance is being paid.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report. The information is in respect of 31st March, 1974, which is the latest date for which it is available.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary indicate if there is a disparity of numbers as between different areas? Would he make a general comment?
