At the request of the promoters of this project an aeronautical officer of my Department carried out an inspection of the site of the proposed airstrip in February, 1973. The site was found to be suitable for development to receive light aircraft operating in daylight and in visual conditions and the promoters were advised accordingly. I understand that proceedings to acquire the proposed site have not yet been concluded.
