Vol. 275 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry River Drainage.

54.

asked the Mini ster for Finance when the River Lee Tralee, County Kerry, will be dredged and if it has been given a higher place on the priority list because it was responsible for flooding in Tralee town twice last year.

Mr. Kenny

I cannot say when an arterial drainage scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945 will be formulated for the Lee, Tralee catchment. As I told the Deputy in reply to his question of 7th March, 1974, adherence to established priorities is the best way of ensuring an orderly national programme of arterial drainage and, accordingly, it is not proposed to alter the priority lists in the case of the catchment referred to by the Deputy.
