NOTES:

(1) The last wage increase (Column 5 above) represents the first phase of the National Agreement 1974 in all cases except Gardeners and Lorry Drivers who received the second phase of that Agreement on 1st July and 1st October, 1974 respectively.

The substitution arrangement under Clause 3(f) of the National Agreement 1974 applies as indicated at Column 6 and the amounts shown are payable in four equal instalments commencing on 1st December, 1974 for employees other than lorry drivers whose commencement date is 1st October, 1974. As the second phase of the 1972 Agreement was applied to the Gardeners prior to 1st April, 1974, the Substitution Clause 3 (f) of the 1974 Agreement does not operate in their case.

(2) All employees in the above grades qualify for service pay at the rate of £0.25, £0.50, £0.75 and £1 weekly after 5, 10, 15 and 20 years respectively.

(3) The Enginemen at the Munster Institute receives an additional weekly allowance of £0.75 during the heating season.
