Vol. 275 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Children's Allowances.

127.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a children's allowance book will be issued to a person (name supplied) in County Meath in respect of her daughter who is over sixteen years and is attending school full-time; and the reason for the delay in dealing with this case.

A children's allowance book at the appropriate rate was issued to the claimant on 29th October, 1974. The delay in dealing with this claim, which was made on 17th September, 1974, arose as a result of the exceptional volume of claims in respect of this age group which were submitted following the re-opening of the schools.

128.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a children's allowance will be paid to a person (name supplied) in County Meath who has applied for it in respect of his child who is over 16 years.

A children's allowance book at the appropriate rate was issued to the person named in the Deputy's question on 29th October, 1974.
