The information requested by the Deputy is not available as exports of nitrogen were not separately distinguished in the statistics for 1970.
Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that, although nitrogen is being imported and has been imported during the past year, farmers are unable to obtain supplies and that in many cases orders placed now will not be fulfilled until the end of March?
That is a policy question which should be addressed to the appropriate Minister.
