Vol. 278 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Cork Telephone Applications.

245.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a telephone service provided for a person (name supplied) in County Cork.

Telephone service was offered in December, 1973, to the person referred to by the Deputy. The offer was not accepted and the application was regarded as cancelled. If the person wishes to renew the application now he should advise the Department and it will be recorded for attention with other applications on hand in the area.

246.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a person (name supplied) in County Cork who paid the connection fee on 28th October, 1974; and the reason for the delay.

It is hoped to provide service for the person referred to by the Deputy by the end of this week. The delay was caused by a fault which had developed in the cable allocated to this line.
