The report is in the nature of a first assessment of certain solid waste problems and possibilities. I regard it as a valuable initiative which raises a number of issues and possibilities deserving of more detailed evaluation. The report is being considered in my Department in consultation with An Foras Forbartha with particular reference to the most useful lines for further study by the group.
