asked the Minister for Lands the progress made to date in plans to resettle 17 Inishturbot Island families on the mainland at Clifden, County Galway; and whether full provision has been made to meet the cost of the transfers.

Land Commission inspectors visited the island recently and had discussions with the islanders and with community leaders and as a result of this inspection revised proposals have been drawn up which will be considered by the Government at an early date.
Until a decision is taken by the Government in the matter I am not in a position to give details of the proposals.
