Vol. 280 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Monaghan Estates.

67.

asked the Minister for Lands the names of the estates held by the Land Commission in County Monaghan; their acreage; and the number of these estates obtained under the EEC farm retirement scheme.

(Cavan): Particulars of lands acquired and purchased by the Land Commission under the traditional land settlement programme are contained in a tabular statement which with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

In the case of the farmers retirement scheme negotiations for the purchase of five properties, 144 acres, have been successfully concluded and possession, although not yet taken, will be arranged as soon as title requirements have been dealt with.

Following is the statement:

PARTICULARS of estates—apart from turbary, insignificant residues of partly allotted properties and lands transferred in exchange—in possession of the Land Commission for division.
