Vol. 281 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Planning Appeal.

69.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in deciding a planning appeal (details supplied).

The particular case in question is one of three appeals relating to the same site which are currently before me. Two of these are appeals by the developers and are held in abeyance at their request. The other is an appeal by third parties against a grant of outline permission for flats and this was the subject of an oral hearing last October. There was some delay in dealing with the matter subsequently arising out of the fact that the person who held the oral hearing had left the civil service. I have since considered the matter fully and determined the appeal on the 12th May, 1975.

I am sorry, there was an undue delay.
