asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the annual State grant payable to the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the additional funds, if any, other than State grants, received from Irish sources during the past two years by the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the additional funds, if any, received from non-Irish sources during the past two years by the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 299, 300 and 301 together.

The State grant payable to the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards varies from year to year, and details will be found in the Books of Estimates. In the current year, the amount voted was £2.86 million.

The institute does not keep separate accounts of moneys received from Irish and non-Irish sources. The total amount other than State grant received by the institute in the two years to 31st October, 1975 the latest date to which the figures are available was in round figures £1,266,000.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of recognised full-time staff members employed by the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards.

The number of full-time staff employed by the Institute of Industrial Research and Standards at the 31st October, 1975, was 567.
