It is intended that this area will be served by an extension of a public trunk main to Fiord Cross. Distribution from there to Loop Head will be by group scheme.
I cannot as yet indicate when I will be in a position to give a decision to the local authority regarding the public trunk main extension scheme, contract documents for which are under consideration in my Department. Progress with the group scheme depends on the completion of the section of the public scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he received specifications and contract drawings for Carraroe water supply to Rossaveal on 18th December, 1975, from Galway County Council; and, if so, the reason for the delay in approving them.
The documents referred to were received in my Department on 22nd December, 1975 and are under consideration. I cannot as yet indicate when I will be in a position to convey my decision thereon to the local authority.
