andMr. Leonard asked the Minister for Labour (a) the total number of applications received for training courses in the hotel industry in 1975 and 1976 to date (b) the number of courses that will be held (c) the numbers who have applied for each course and (d) if place allocations are made to individual counties.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving the required information. The statement is confined to the activities of CERT Ltd.

Following is the statement:

(a) Total number of applications received for training courses in 1975

(The figures for 1976 will not be available until next June).

(b) The number of courses that will be held in 1976 is estimated at

134

(c) The numbers who applied for courses in 1975 were:

in-service courses

936

seasonal courses

750

pre-entry formal courses

1,886

(d) Place allocations are made to individual counties only in the case of formal pre-entry courses.
