Vol. 290 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Landing Places.

11.

asked the Minister for Finance the amount of money that will be spent in the current financial year on minor harbours and landing places on the Donegal coast; and the landing places involved.

It is expected, all going well, that in the current year an expenditure of £112,000 will be incurred on minor works at the following harbours and landing places in County Donegal, that is, Bally-whoriskey; Camusmore, Tory Island: Inishmeane; Leabgarrow-Stackmore: Magheraroarty; Moville; Port Inver, and navigational aids at Burtonport and Arranmore.

When the Parliamentary Secretary says "all going well" is he referring to climatic conditions or the state of the Exchequer?

All going well would depend on the weather. If the weather is bad you cannot carry out improvements.

It is not the state of the Exchequer, is it?

(Interruptions.)

When the Parliamentary Secretary says that this amount of money will be incurred does he actually visualise it being spent?

I can give the breakdown to the Deputy if he wishes.

I would be particularly anxious to know the position in relation to certain landing places which were to be installed in 1974.

I will give that to the Deputy.
