asked the Minister for Education if there are any proposals in his Department to build a new school in Kill, County Waterford, or to enlarge the present school; and if, in the event of a new school being built, it is intended to close the school in Bonmahon and transfer the pupils to Kill.

A scheme of enlargement to Kill national school, County Waterford, has been approved by my Department in order to cater for increasing numbers. The erection of a new school is not in question. Closure of the school in Bonmahon and transfer of the pupils to Kill would be considered only if the Bonmahon parents favoured this course of action.
