Vol. 293 No. 3

Written Answers. - Workers' Pay Rates.

97.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will furnish details of the revised rates of pay which would apply to agricultural workers if the national wage agreement had been applied to them in the same way as to forestry workers, in extension of a reply of 12th December, 1974.

The rate of pay which would apply to agricultural workers in the Group B areas had national agreement increases been applied to them as in the case of forestry workers would have been £40.14 effective from 1st August. The current minimum rate for agricultural workers is £33.00 but will rise to £36.50 from 22nd of next month. Actual rates are of course in many areas considerably higher than the minimum.

98.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will furnish the up-to-date particulars of pay, hours of work and holidays of agricultural workers in member countries of the EEC in the form of a reply of 29th July, 1975.
