I am informed by the ESB that in September, 1972, the person in question was quoted, but did not accept, terms for connection to the electricity supply which involved the payment by him of a capital contribution.
It would seem therefore that, if the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Bill, 1976, is enacted in its present form, the person in question will qualify for subsidised connection. However, it is not possible at this stage to say what the subsidy would amount to in any particular case.
