The most recent information available to my Department from Cashel Urban District Council is that at 30th September, 1977, they had 43 applications for rehousing on hands.
It is a matter for the council, in the first instance, to formulate proposals for meeting their ascertained housing needs. I understand that they intend to submit revised plans for a housing scheme to me next month.
