Supplementary Estimates, 1977: Leave to Introduce.

Minister for Finance (Mr. Colley)

I move:

That leave be given by the Dáil to introduce the following Supplementary Estimates for the service of the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1977, namely—

6 (Office of the Minister for Finance),

9 (Public Works and Buildings),

12 (Office of the Attorney General),

13 (Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions),

14 (Miscellaneous Expenses),

18 (Office of the Minister for the Public Service),

20 (Superannuation and Retired Allowances),

28 (Environment),

40 (Fisheries),

41 (Labour),

44 (Posts and Telegraphs),

46 (Army Pensions),

51 (Remuneration).

When is it proposed to take the Supplementary Estimates?

It is proposed to circulate them today and I understand they will be taken next Thursday and on Tuesday of next week.

Mr. Cluskey

Is the Minister satisfied there will be time to discuss them adequately?

Mr. Colley

It will be as adequate as it has been in recent years.

Mr. Cluskey

Does the Minister regard that as adequate time?

Mr. Colley

Not very.
