It is a basic condition of the Farm Modernisation Scheme that farming must be the principal occupation of the applicant, as evidenced by the amount of time spent farming and the proportion of income derived from farming activities. Since this applicant holds a full-time job outside farming he was not found to be eligible for the scheme.
