Vol. 305 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Sligo School.

426.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the deplorable condition of Tubbercurry No. 2 (Protestant) National School, County Sligo; if he is aware that the roof of this school is in a very dangerous condition; and if he will have the roof attended to and general repairs carried out as a matter of urgency, to make this school safe and habitable for the young children and teacher attending there.

Alternative school accommodation for the teacher and pupils of Tubbercurry (2) National School is available locally. In view of the very low enrolment at the school my Department are examining the question of the future need for a school there. In the meantime it is the intention that use should be made of the alternative accommodation to which I have referred.
