: No grant was paid in respect of 1977 as the day centre operated by the National League of the Blind was closed for eight months during the year.
The board paid a grant of £1,000 to the league in March in respect of 1978. The question of the further financial assistance to be given to the league in the current year is at present under consideration by the board.
The board have also made a capital grant of £4,550 towards renovation of the day centre.
