Vol. 306 No. 11

Written Answers. - Old Age Pension Payment.

130.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (name supplied) in County Cork has not been paid his old age pension; and when he can expect to receive it.

The local pension subcommittee decided on 14 September 1977 that the person concerned was not entitled to a non-contributory old age pension on the ground that his means exceeded the statutory limit. The claimant appealed and the appeals officer to whom the appeal was submitted directed that a further report be obtained from the social welfare officer. On receipt of this report the appeals officer has upheld the sub-committee's decision.
