: I explained the method of deducting contributions from persons receiving institutional care in my reply to the Deputy's question of 29 November 1977—Official Report, Vol. 302, cols. 175-177. I indicated at the time that the practices were generally satisfactory and that I was not aware that they had caused any great difficulties. I am still of that view.
