asked the Minister for Agriculture if the provisions of section 30 of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 in regard to the conveyance of meat are in need of revision, in the light of the modern prevalence of road and air transport, while they refer only to railway wagons and ships in paragraph (b).

: The Sixth Schedule of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) (Beef, Pork and Mutton) Regulations 1930 (S.I. No. 62 of 1930) prescribe standards for the transport of meat. The EEC Directive on Fresh Meat (64/433) which has been applied in this country since our entry into the Community lays down stringent conditions for the transport of frozen and chilled meat and offals in containers.
