: Statistics of claims submitted and claims rejected under section 10 and section 14 of the Social Welfare (Supplementary Welfare Allowances) Act, 1975, are not maintained by the health boards. Neither are records kept of the number of appeals under specific sections of the Act. However, the total number of appeals received in the nine-month period ended 31 March 1978 was 176 of which 30 had been allowed, 124 disallowed and 22 were awaiting decision on that date.
