I have no such plans. Agricultural advisers are not free to move from one county to another. In the case of perma-nent posts, appointments in a county may be made only on the recommendation of the Local Appointments Commission, while in the case of temporary posts the decision to appoint rests solely with the committee of agriculture concerned.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he accepts the statement in the NESC Report, Number 40, that, on average, only about 75 developing farmers could be served by each agricultural adviser.
This statement would require considerable clarification before I could comment definitively on it.
