I understand that Westmeath County Council are at present awaiting an updated report from the consultants appointed by them in order to determine the most suitable line for a by-pass road and bridge at Athlone. A grant of £10,000 has been made to the council towards the cost of consultants' fees. The remaining parts of the question do not arise at this stage.
