My Department have asked Galway County Council to confirm whether a supply of water would be made available for the Lissavruggy group from the Ballygar public mains, if the group were to provide their own storage. A reply from the council is awaited.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the proposed Ballyreen group water scheme which will serve the Ballinalackan area. The design for this scheme has recently been approved by my Department. A copy of the design has been forwarded to Clare County Council for examination and approval, if in order.
