asked the Minister for Education if he will state, in respect of each regional technical college and college of technology, the number of students on (a) degree and (b) diploma level courses, recognised by his Department for higher education grant purposes, who are in receipt of neither higher education grants nor vocational education committee scholarships.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state, in relation to each vocational education committee in the current year, the number of students on certificate diploma or degree level courses who applied for scholarships and who were eligible under the means test; and the number of scholarships awarded in each case.

The information requested is not immediately available to my Department. It is being sought from the vocational education committees and colleges concerned and will be supplied to the Deputy as soon as feasible.
