The "Transition Year" was introduced as a pilot project. Before decisions are taken as to the further development of such a pilot project it is normal to have an evaluation made of its limited application. This process is now in progress in the case of the "Transition Year" and it is not possible to make any further statement in the matter until the report on the evaluation has been received and considered.
