Vol. 310 No. 9

Written Answers. - National Health Council.

43.

asked the Minister for Health the action, if any, he proposes to take on the recommendations of the National Health Council.

I presume that the question refers to the views and recommendations which have been formulated by the National Health Council following a general review of the health services by the council and which have been included in the council's annual report for the year ended 31 March, 1978.

These recommendations cover all major aspects of the health services and full account will be taken of them in the planning and evaluation of these services which is a continuing process in my Department and in the health boards.

44.

asked the Minister for Health if he envisages any change in the role of the National Health Council.

I do not envisage any change in the role of the National Health Council at present.
