Publication of the Farm Bulletin was terminated because it became evident that it had ceased to be an effective medium for the dissemination of information on agriculture.
It has been replaced by a regular series of information pamphlets mainly for the use of those members of the Department's staff who are in regular contact with farming interests. Initially, this series is being run on an experimental basis and the question of wider circulation will be considered in the light of experience.
The statistical information which the Farm Bulletin formerly contained is still available direct from the Department. A lot of this statistical material is already issued in the form of Press releases or is circulated to the specific interests concerned.
