Vol. 311 No. 4

Written Answers. - Celtic High Crosses.

168.

asked the Minister for Education why the casts of the Celtic high crosses were removed from the National Museum; their present whereabouts; and if it is intended to display them at another venue or to return them to the National Museum.

The casts of the high crosses were removed to provide essential space for special exhibitions. They are at present in the museum stores. The question of providing alternative exhibition space for the casts in the National Museum is at present being examined.
