£150,000 is being made available this year to St. Laurence's Hospital for the purchase of equipment and the carrying out of minor works. Included in this allocation is a sum of £80,000 for the purchase of haematology equipment to which the board of the hospital afforded a higher priority than the two items referred to in the Deputy's question.
