Written Answers. - Semi-State Companies' Executives Salaries.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport the identities, and the current salaries, of the chief executives of the following semi-State companies: B & I, Irish Shipping, Dublin Port and Docks Board and Aer Rianta.

The chief executive of Aer Rianta Teoranta is Mr. James O'Sullivan. His total remuneration, over which I have statutory control, is £14,254. This rate of remuneration is personal to the present chief executive. He has also the use of a company car. The chief executive of the British and Irish Steam Packet Company Limited is Mr. William B. Mulligan. His total remuneration, over which I have statutory control, is £14,748.

The chief executive of the Dublin Port and Docks Board is the General Manager, Mr. R.N. Hayes, and the chief executive of Irish Shipping Limited is the General Manager, Mr. W.A. O'Neill. The remuneration of each is determined by the respective boards and I do not have any statutory function in this matter.
