In February the Minister of State at my Department met representatives of the Irish Security Industry Association to discuss this matter and invited them to submit their proposals in writing.
A communication has since been received from the association but, as it is not sufficiently detailed, they are being asked for further information on this subject. Until detailed proposals have been received and considered I shall not be in a position to comment further on the matter.
